Donations Quilts 2016

All these quilts were made with love. I pieced the tops and quilted them on my Bernina with an allover meander. This first quilt was made as a fund raiser in memory of a friend's son who was killed in an auto accident in 2014.  The monies raised go a scholarship fund to the HS from where he graduated and to the Surfrider Foundation.  I belong to an online quilting group Sunshine Quilters.  They support mostly 2 charities though do other quilts when the situation arises.  All of my other quilts shown here were made for Wrap-A-Smile.  They are used as a recovery room blankets in this Rotary Program.  To make it easier for me I have cut up much of it stash into different size pieces.  The 6.5" squares are put into kits so I can pull one out and work up a top quickly.  Here are 36 of the 38 donation quilts I made this year.
