PA ~ HUP Spring Luncheon
It's always great to get together with classmates from our nursing school. This luncheon had 11 classmates from the Class of 1978 celebrating their 40th reunion. My class had 8 classmates in attendance celebrating our 45th reunion. There were about 70 HUP graduates from all classes in attendance. A fun time was had by all.

Hand Dyed Quilts Update ~~ DONE!!!
About a year ago I made 3 quilt tops with my hand dyed fabrics. All three were quilted by a friend, Helen. 24 years ago I taught here machine quilting and piecing to her. Over the last 5-6 years she bought a long arm and her quilt designing and quilting using the longarm has taken off. One quilt was finished in December as a gift for my nephew, Shamus. The last 2 quilts were delivered to me a few days ago and I must say I absolutely love the quilting she's done. The quilts are oversized twins and will be used in the same room so she has made them similar yet different.

Donation Quilts 2018
Since I arrived home I have been resting and catching up on my sleep. I also started working on some donation quilts using kits that I have already made up from scraps I cut out from either fabrics used in other quilts or fabric I was given. Here's my first batch of 12 quilts.

North Cape May, NJ ~ The Northern Gannets are flying
Every April I can look forward to the Northern Gannets streaming by my house on their spring migration. It is a wonderful sight to see. Yesterday was an incredible day as the CMBO Morning Watch tallied over 13,000 gannets flying down the bay and around Cape May Point.
