My Yard ~ Some Birds Visiting

 Common Grackles are really gorgeous whe the sun hits them though they aren't my favorite bird at my feeders but so far it's only been one to three here. Also not seen for quite a while have been American Robins. There were two robins here this morning. Spring must be coming!

Backyard Birds Mid- December

 Bernie and I are very happy to see all of the birds in my backyard coming to the feeders  and the trees that are around.    On a daily basis we see House Finch, American Goldfinch, 4 species of Woodpeckers - Northern Flickers, Red-bellied, Hairy and Downy.  We are hoping to get Red-headed and Pileated woodpeckers here also as they are nearby in our area.  We have Dark-eyed Juncos, Song and White throated Sparrows, Northern Cardinals, Carolina Wrens, Tufted Titmice, Carolina Chickadees, White-breasted Nuthatches, Blue Jays and Mourning Doves.  Today, we had a rare for us group of about 6 Eastern Bluebirds and also a Common Grackle.
