My Yard ~ Red Fox

 Red Fox sightings in my back yard are rare.  this sighting was great because the fox looked so healthy compared to the few I have seen here before.

Snow Day

 The weather forecast all week has been for snowfalls of up to 12" of snow.  Turned out that my area had between 6=8" of weak heavy snow. 

After the storm passed the sun came out amd the snow sparked

Christmas Postcard Displays

 I have been exchanging quilted fabric postcards since 2006.  When I was setting up my displays I looked at the backs of them & found several from postcards from then.  Back, then, I was in several postcard swapping groups plus I swapped postcards with fellow members of my Dyehards group.

My Yard ~ Butterflies

This year has been a strange butterfly year with wet.cool weather at the end of June into the July and so the numbers of butterflies have been low.  Hopefully that will change as we get to the end of August and into September & October.

My Yard ~ Cooper's Hawk & Ruby-throated Hummingbird

My Yard ~ Pileated Woodpecker

This Pileated Woodpecker visited my yard today.  I am always happy to have them visit though wouldn't want them to stay.  This species of bird makes very large holes in which to nest.
