Pennsville, NJ ~ Visitors to Jenny's Yard

So proud of the work Jenny's done on building gardens in her yard. It takes time and patience when you aren't feeling your best. I visited this week when I saw 15 species of butterflies along with Snowberry Clearwing and a few hummingbird's. There could have been more species of skippers but there were so many skippers to shift through and ID. Her hard work is showing! Jenny has many flowers & host plants showing if you build it they will come!!

Lots of pollen on this Monarch!

My Yard ~ Butterflies Galore

Yesterday, I had the best butterfly day of the year here at my home & probably the best in the yard since I moved to PA.   It had rained the past few days so the butterflies were anxious to be out & about again as the sun was shining brightly. I saw 19 species of butterflies with about 6 clearwing moths which included both Hummingbird & Snowberry.

Wolf's Hollow County Park

Had a great visit to Wolf's Hollow County Park in Chester County yesterday. 11 species of butterflies, Snowberry Clearwing, Ruby-throated hummingbird, and along the creek some dragonflies. Sadly, the park service just recently mowed down the center field as you enter the park where I saw tons of butterflies last summer. The left side of the driveway is a sea of lavender bee balm.
