Quilts of Valor

 On the eve of Memorial Day weekend, I was pleased to hear that a quilt I'd made was given this week to a veteran to honor their service to our country. It's an honor to make quilts for veterans of all branches of our service with Quilts of Valor. I do recognize that Memorial Day honors those brave veterans who died serving our country.

Quilted Fabric Postcards

 Been fitting in some time making postcards between gardening time. The butterfly postcards are just because to have around when I need one to send. The fish postcards are for a swap called "In the Ocean." The fish feature hand-dyed cheesecloth and hand-dyed threads I did a few years back. #fabricpostcards #quiltedpostcards

New Yard Bird #46 ~ Eastern Towhee

 What did my wandering eyes see from across the yard wile I was gardening??? - an Eastern Towhee - yard bird #47 - coming out from under the deck! Who knows how long it's been visiting as that not a view I normally see.

50th Reunion HUP Graduation

 A great luncheon today at Shady Maple with 11 classmates attending. We all would like to get together more often and a class page on FB was suggested. It was so much fun and everyone moved around to catch up with others after we finished the meal and before desert.
