Cape May Point Birding

Great to get out early this morning to bird at several productive spots in the Point.  First stop, was the jetty at Alexander Avenue where I saw several Brown Pelicans, lots of different species of gulls, some Double-crested Cormorants, many Yellow-rumped warblers and many Golden-crowned kinglets.  Next stop was Northwood Center.  Then I headed over to the beach and the trees along Harvard Avenue.  I had a great time.

Cape May Point State Park

A wonderful warm and sunny Thanksgiving day meant there were lots of people out walking the trails at the state park.  I was one of them.  There weren't as many birds as I would have liked but enough to grab some pictures.

Yellow-rumped Warblers

I really enjoy the Yellow-rumped Warblers.  I love going over to the state park and Higbee's Beach in the fall to watch them feed in the cedar tree berries.  I enjoy when they come to my yard and feed and bath here.

Afternoon Birding with Michael & Lois

Eastern Kingbird at Cox Hall Creek WMA

After lunch I took Michael & Lois birding at Cox Hall Creek WMA, Northwood Center in Cape May Point and the Beanery.  We must have walked 5 miles during the afternoon but what a great time we had getting to know each other.  Birders, like quilters are great people. They are caring and friendly.
