My friends called all excited to let me know that they have loads of
American Goldfinches eating the thistle seed they have in feeders. The birds are getting more yellow/gold as the days are going along. It's exciting to see them molt into breeding plummage. There are times when there are 8 to 10 birds on the feeder.
