Two of the skippers I saw today at Merritt Island were these two pictured. From my research, I thought the top was a Common-checkered White and the bottom though very, very similar a Tropical-checkered White. A person I know, who is a butterfly enthusiast and very knowledgeable, thinks the top is a White-checkered Skipper and states the Common-checkered Skippers disappeared from FL years ago. I don't know but was happy to see both of them.
