Savannah NWR, SC

Clouded Sulphur
On the way to FL for 6 weeks with plans to do some nature photography.  My stop tonight was actually in the suburbs of Savannah but check in time was 5 pm.  My drive was fairly short so I arrived here about mid afternoon and decided to check out this NWR. It was so worthwhile that I plan to visit again tomorrow before I leave for FL.  First, I saw butterflies! Several got away with close enough looks for an ID.  And I saw alligators.  And along the Laurel Hill I viewed some nice birds I don't normally get to see in NJ.

Red Admiral Butterfly

American Alligator sunning

Little Blue Heron

Common Gallinule
