Along the Seward Highway, Alaska

After we left the AWCC we headed south on the Seward Highway toward Tern Lake in the Chugach National Forest.  We stopped for lunch at Tern Lake giving me the chance to scope out the birds.  Here I saw 2 life birds - Arctic Terns and Mew Gulls.  I also saw some Mallards Ducks.  There was an great looking river birch by the lake.  There were nesting Arctic Terns and Mew Gulls on the islands in the lake.  We arrived in Seward about 3 PM even with all the stops we made at scenic viewpoints.  We are staying at the Havenwood House which is a small house with all of the amenities and a killer view out of our windows.  I'll be sleeping in the loft bedroom.
