Last night we decided that we would like to go out on the one of the wildlife tours that leave from Seward. We wanted to go longer than 4 hrs so we go see one of the glaciers but really weren't interested in going for 8 hrs and adding a dinner onto the day. We choose a smaller boat initially but when we called on Friday early AM they had no spots available so we called the Kenai Fjords group choosing the 6 hr tour. We were also able to get them to add a free voucher for the Alaska SeaLife Center which we would use during the afternoon. The trip was beyond fantastic!! This blog shows only pictures of the whales with more pictures coming. There were whales all around the boat numerous times during the day. Our guide said that it was the most productive trip they had in years and that the trip the day before had not seen any whales. We saw numerous Orca/Killer Whales plus lots of Humpback Whales. There were whales in pods of 2 to 6 which was so cool to see. We are so glad we went on the tour. Here are a sampling of pictures of them.
