Boarding the Kennicott |
Our stay in Ketchikan is over and now it's time to get back onto the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry. We were on the M/V Columbia for the trip to Ketchikan. For the next leg of our trip we are on a smaller ferry the M/V Kennicott .

Seaplane Ketchikan HarborOnce we left Ketchikan we explored the ship. Our first discovery is that this ferry has fewer areas in which to sit but it does have 2 enclosed areas on the upper deck for the campers to set up their tents so they are out of the elements. When we got into our cabin I wasn't very impressed as the Columbia had better staterooms with more space but it is manageable for the time we'll be on the ferry. |
